El Prado was developed for wine importer, Thierry's, in response to a brief
for a new, competitively priced Spanish wine brand.
The memorable name and contemporary packaging were chosen after consumer
research, which confirmed that El Prado had strong consumer appeal, and
great shelf impact. Initial sales surpassed all expectations, with listings
in three major UK multiples as well as Scandinavia and the USA.
